Our Story 

Starting in 2005 with the very first aquarium, learning both through the experience of keeping the aquarium and researching the ecosystem biology and individual species through scientific papers and books. This led to breeding fish with incredible colours and a long-term interest in aquatics. This then influenced the decision to go to one of the very few remaining Marine education campuses left to complete a degree to better understand and update the knowledge held. Once obtaining the degree, I worked in the aquatics industry, working my way up and creating a central hub for those in the hobby. Leading to looking after people’s personal aquariums, ponds and water features becoming a rewarding extra. Within this time, I also discovered Aquascaping a few years before it became mainstream, honing my craft quickly. This led to one of the most stable and naturally balanced aquariums I've owned to this point. Now today I bring all the skills and constantly updating knowledge of the hobby to everyone by starting the business and helping people achieve their dream water feature full time.

Nick Brooks BSc. Hons 

Hello I'm Nick, Founder and CEO of Brooks Aquatics. I hold an Honours Degree in Marine Science, supported by additional Level 4 Diplomas in Aquaponics and Hydroponics, Ichthyology, and Gemology. My academic background and specialist training reflect a strong commitment to the study of aquatic systems, sustainable production methods, and the broader natural sciences. This combination of expertise enables me to apply scientific knowledge with precision and adaptability across diverse fields, from marine research to innovative approaches in sustainable food systems.

USP 

20 years of experience in the hobby backed up with degrees and additional diplomas proving and certifying my knowledge and ability to personalize any project to requirements.
